Taking pictures

i want to shoot a new medium, namely skateparks. how do you all feel when someone comes up and starts taking pictures, granted he is not in your way or interfering with your skating? i don't wanna show up and piss people off. so what are your thoughts?

Fine, as long as you don't get in the way. Don't see a problem there.

It might be a good idea to ask them first, to avoid having someone get upset and to get their consent anyway.

If your taking photos of the park i don't see any problem with that but if your taking photos of skaters or who ever you should ask for their permission.

Ask for permission if you are taking shots of skaters.
If it is the park then you could probably just come and take pics.

when you take pics they will prolly try showing off by doing sumtin way outa their league and they will break 7 bones then will try and sue you for interferiing. so ask permission first.

Always, always walk up to a rider/skater and say something along the lines of "Hey man, you're ripping pretty good, mind if I shoot some photos of you? Don't worry I will stay out of the way... and if I am in the way... just yell and scream at me its all good.. " and laugh it off... usually they say "No problem man, go for it. Can you send me some eventually?" unless they are huge ego dicks... then you find someone new.

Most skaters like having photos taken of them but it's only common courtesy to ask first. Personally I don't care about being asked if the photographer is not in the way.

Yea just like they said ask first. I have had a pic of me ollieing a large safety cone taken at a park. The dude asked me to try it cus he said my ollie was good. I was like sweet coverage and I evenutally got it.

I prefer not to have my picture taken when im skating because when i skate it feels like its a thing i have for myself but for a 5 spot you can do a portrait for all i care.
