well first of all this should be in the music section. if you went there you would also notice that there are already threads on this. but to help with your rapper situation, look for rappers with good beats, that is what determines the skate-quality of the song. Nas and Gang Starr are good calls.

Interpol, i like cruising to them..
RHCP, some of their songs seem to be written for a skate part.
And whatever band i'm into at the time i can usually get my groove onto, Eighteen Visions at the moment.
Last week i had the BBC Grandstand theme tune blasting out so just proves you can skate to anything.

Le Tigre-Deceptacon

Okay, Rick McCrank.

I must say, this is kind of cool. I'm reading all your posts, and seeing just how many various music types you people skate to. For a lot of you, the music type you skate to, is the exact opposite of someone else's.. example, one would listen to say.. Slayer, while the other listens to MF Doom.

As for me, I generally listen to everything excluding metal.. anything from Ambulance Ltd, Mogwai, Le Tigre, and Taking Back Sunday, to NWA, Nas, and Eyedea & Abilities.

If you're a video buff, like me.. you'll notice a lot of those bands were ripped from various videos, such as Emerica, Blind, and Girl.
