Hiya, I'm new to this forum so I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm also new to skateboarding. Well not really. My suckage has lessened since last time I skateboarded (a year ago) and I have only had 10 days of experiance :p Put simply, just about all I can do is ballance and ride kinda slow.
Just thought I'd say hey.. If you have any newb advice to share I would like that :)

Score ;). Oh and i'd just like to reiterate(sp) ''Have fun'' There's no point doing something if you not having fun with it. Plus no one likes hanging around someone who's stressing.

Yeah I know. I always have fun, and I usually goof off and laugh at myself constantly. I cuss alot when I do something idiotic, but never in anger..

Hey, I'm Fae. Welcome to RR and to skateboarding. As for newbie advice . . . none really, just don't be afraid of falling or getting hurt because those are usually the times that you do fall and get hurt =p.

By the way, I'm not meaning to sound simple or whathaveyou, but what are good boards for someone aka me who is 5'5'' and 120lbs? Just curious if size had anything to do with anything :/
btw... CHEAP boards. I am of low income :)

Well I found a complete deck on ebay for $10... that is until people bid on it. It's got a day so it might go as high as $20-$25. It's called a Spartan?? I think.. My friend says it's alright for a beginner, and the trucks suck but since I won't be grinding anytime soon that doesn't matter. What do you think? Worth it?
Thanks for all the replies :)

Aww that sucks. I used to have a Walmart board.. it's what I started with last year for a couple days. I hated it. With a passion. ::nods some::

Weight doesnt have much to do with what kind of board you want to get (unless your really big, or small) you should just kinda find your own length/width to meet your needs.
