i really like greendays older songs but since there "come back" (american idiot) if u will call it that there songs have gone abit less punkish and more over to the pop side of music i would like to here other peoples views on this cos every1 i no says they are still the same as they used to be im not sayin that there bad jus not as good

down hill from what exactly!? i think they are just about on par with what they were, which wasnt anything to write home about..their style has changed, sure, but name a band who throughout their musical career didnt change their style in the slightest fashion.

Green Day is my favorite band, and in my opinion they are amazing!!!!

But I have to admit, American Idiot, and warning both are not as good as there old stuff, I think there new stuff is just starting to turn into grunge music, seriously. If you actually the cd, they are trying to be hardcore now, like the song "wake me up wen september ends" and "give me noicaine" plus it is to wll-produced, I liked how there old albums weren't so well put together, and now they actually care aout there music, which sucks.

Even though I still like American Idiot, it got boring after like 3 listens!!!! there other albums I can listen to like everday, I miss the old pop-punk green day, that got high everyday, and didn't give a shit about anything.

You guys can call me crazy and hit me over the head with a shoe but I like their new stuff and don't see anything wrong with the slight change in style, to me it was a plesent suprise. Like when I go to order french(erm...freedom) fries and a tater tot gets mixed in. Plesently suprising. Favorite song on the cd is Jesus of Suburbia.

Ok after seeing them live i can say that they have lost their minds! The guitarist proceeded to moon the audience then kiss the bassisnt and THEN put his hand down his pants. so weird. then they played good riddance with loads of distortion and i was like wtf? the mosh pits were real weak too

Green Day are good live..I recently saw them..they may have made a few crappy songs but they still play the old songs good too..even better...

i think greenday is not nearly as good as they where. Now their trying to go into politics and stuff like that. i dont think many people like politics in their punk music.

I saw Greenday in January, they rule. They like to get the crowd involved in their gigs so they get people from the crowd to play their instruements. It was a really good night. I agree, they aren't so punky, I'd like to see some new stuff like their old stuff.
