I'm looking for the best video editor, the ones i have windows movie maker and roxio video wave which saves to a .dmsm file or something like that, so it won't upload onto a lot of internet sites after editing, also windows movie maker doesnt have enough editing options so i'm looking for something that has editing options and can save as a .wav or something that can upload to the internet easily.

also premiere 6.5 sucks compared to 7. 6.5 i couldnt seem to find quicktime compression. which is much better quality and much smaller then wmv
skaters of dc .wav is music not video. the only dual compatible file format is .mp4 which is very low size and exceptional quality

Premiere 6.5 is far better than Pro/Elements/pro 1.5. For one thing, it actually works, and is much faster then 7.
Premiere the best choice for the PC since the person who posted the topic probably won't quite want to use something so high quality as Avid.

sure if this kid wants to splash out on a media 100 set up. As for premiere 7.0, its fine for dv footage but when it comes down to editing wmv etc. it can't handle it.
Well mine couldn't but my 6.5 could.

If you want to edit skate videos, you only really need windows movie maker. Unless you want super snazzy special effects in your skate videos for absolutely no reason whatsoever, of course. The only special effect you need really is slow motion.

i guess i have something against 6.5 because i only like quicktime and couldnt find a quicktime compression setting on 6.5. and hell dude no one on these boards will come out with a media 100 setup.

I prefer Quicktime over Windows Media Player and Real by far.

I've used vegas before, it's pretty fun actually. It's slow motion was kind of choppy, IMO, but I was just a beginner at video editing there. I like Ulead Videostudio 7, it's nothing professional, but it seems to get the job done just fine for me.

Well I suppose not, but if you just want a simple video with some normal slow motion, it's fine.

Don't give 'em the money. They are rip offs. I stick to my nice easy, lead VS7. Does the job.
