I'm not trying to put you down here, but realistically, you need to be a lot better than you currently are. Remeber, you're a lot better than me, and this is just constructive criticisism. You need to master every flip, and be able to nail them all the time and down stairs and gaps.

yeah that is ture, well it depends who u are getting sponsered by, compabys like SHORTY'S wany very good people, they have high standards, they would like a guy who could switch kickflip to a B/s tailslide, which is EXTREMELEY HARD!!! Toan Nuygen could land that trick. People who are sponsored by skate shops and skate parks aren't the best as other skaters, but still are really good. Not only, you have to use most of ur tricks on objects, rather than kickfliping gaps, also there is SWITCH STANCES, that is hell....

I don't believe that you've been skating for 4 years especially with a name like that - BoothTheBugSkater and them tricks in 4 years man you need to learn lots more before you even think about getting sponsored man I don't go out everytime I go out and skate and ask to get sponsored I just do it for the fun until someone or something comes upto me and says dude your pretty dam good and sponsors me,

Well yes if it is your Local skate shop maybe they might sponsor you but they are quite low key (not so big of an actual company) like Shorty's or Birdhouse,

yes then go get sponsered, first know the ppl first at the skate shop :D then they might sponsor you. also to the part where it says "he can only ollie on street and do axel stalls on vert" if he is a little kid, like 8 years old, then maybe he deserves to get sponsored, and what can u do SWTICH? lol

um...

i dont know what you guys are on, but just because someone can do switch stuff doesnt mean he gets sponsored.

Most people that are sponsored can do grinds and slides down handrails, usually kill at skating parks, and like one of you said, mastered bunches of flip tricks. I think that shops dont just look for skill, they look for someone that will represent their shop well...

example -

If i owned a shop and i was looking for someone to sponsor, and two kids walk in and go, sponsor one of us. First i would ask for proof that they did have skill, and then i would check out their reputations, i wouldnt want to sponsor the kid at the park thats running over little kids that are MY potential customers and then cursing them out for 'getting in the way'. i would rather sponsor the 'not as good' skater that is nice to younger kids who are going to be like 'that kid is sponsored by _____ skateshop, lets go there!' because the guy was nice to them and helped them out...

Thats just my opinion on the matter. ;)

P.S.
wrong forum guys.

he knows and he says the he knows the guy at the shop, you do have a well thought out oppinion though, reputation is key

i bet you wish you lived here! since almost everyone in my town seriously sucks, no spots have no skateboarding signs, because they aren't actually vandilizing if all they do is sit on their board. Another thing, where i live, if you can kickflip, you are practically worshipped by other skaters, so for you, it would be very easy to get sponsored. But since you dont, i think you should work on kickflip to grind/slides. kickflip noseslides and stuff like that look sweet

i agree totally with punkrock i would like someone who is very nice and stuff and gets good grades and doesnt have a bad reputation and can do just a few tricks then a person who gets in trouble at school or with the cops and does drugs and really hates kids and can do good tricks. If it is for your local shop DIG IN! Yes to master all the flips takes years and years so start practicing. like aronsoma(sorry if i spelled your name wrong)said kickflips to noseslides are really fun once you get to learn them which takes a while. Alright this forum deserves a original 5 rating.
