Well he might of ment he's seen many people at a skatepark with them or sumert who he dosn't really know,

anyways my cusson has them he's had them like 6 months now he's skated like 3 months in them and 3 months not because he hasn't had a board for awhile.

Well the answer to your question is yea they good, comfy and pretty dam strong the only real letdown is the sole of the shoe as with all skate shoes they wear down after a month and a half,
