Sweetness, there's going to be a skateboarding competition at the skatepark in my town on 4/16/2005. I live in TorC, NM. Yeah, right in the middle of a friggin desert. Can't wait...i'm only just a beginner but i'm gonna utterly decimate my opponents. (well, maybe.)
I hope that i'll at least be a decent opponent. wish me luck. :D

Good luck dood!!!
If you're going to enter the competition make sure you're ready. How long have you been skating and whats the most recent trick you've learned? Most people that enter a skate comp are crazy.

Haven't been skating long, about 2 months, but they have a beginer class. My most recent trick is probably a variel, but i can't land it.

So my best trick is actually a kick-flip, kinda sad but it'll have to do.

yeah, i really need to learn to grind. I can almost 50-50 but i lose my balance or i only get one truck on the rail. Good idea, I think i'll go and practice in a few minutes to perfect my ollie, and maybe start landing variels. ;)

If u want to learn to grind, Learn to boardslide first. I kinda skipped all the other tricks and went straight to grinding. Only took me about a day to learn. Now all i can do is an ollie, a sketchy popshovit, manual, and boardslides.(LOL) try and learn on a rail thats low to tha ground at first then work your way up. I just hit the very end of the rail when i started.Hope this helps.

Aight, I'm working on some boardslides, almost got it. I'm pretty much only doing street cause i can't really do any vert. I better not get served, that would suck. I got time, so it shouldn't be too bad. Thanx for all the replys.
