BAD!!! OMG don't use it it eats the grease already in your bearings replacing it with something short lived and not as slick....Under no sercumstances should anyone use WD40 on their bearings....I fyou want to clean your bearings soak them in gasoline and relube.

it works for a little bit, but it eats away at the non metal stuff. i think.

that has nothing to do with the topic.
DONT use WD40 as a lubricant. if you did clean them RIGHT NOW or they will explode and you will get ball bearings in your face

WD40 is not good for your bearings at all. It works well for a little while but it eventually ruins them. WD40 also makes your bearings collect dirt easier and a lot faster. Clean them right never use WD40.

dude, never use wd40, back in the day :-3: i used to use it. What it does is attract dirt cause its so greasy. If anything, put wd40 in, wipe the outside of the bearing real good, and than lube with speedcream. Anywho, id stay away from wd40. The best is to keep ur bearings in gasoline for an hour or too. Dont do it for more than 4 hours thought or else it eats away your bearings. Ok thanks, by the way, stay on the topic, or make your own thread.
(I used to think people lied when they said use gasoline, but it accually works, ps dont be a dumbass and get the gas out by setting them on fire, let them sit, and than use a q-tip.)

Hmmmm. Never knew gasoline was good for cleaning bearings. I use Paint Thinner, but next time the bearings need a cleaning, I'm gonna try gasoline-ingg them up.
Yeah WD40, as many people have said before; Horrible.

My friend bought brand new Bones Swiss Six Balls and they weren't rolling as fast as he expected straight out of the box (without breaking in) so he put WD40 on them. LOL.

"and does it matter which way i put my bearings in, cause they are a tight fit in my wheels.(sry bout double post)"
Do your bearings have crowns? if so youll wanna make sure that your crowns are facing inside the wheel, if both sides are metal then it doesnt really matter.

HAHA ARE YOU ON DRUGS OR SOMETHING????!!! lol man thats like the worst possible things for your bearings...it just chews em up...and globe skater toy machine uses higher products and get some rictas or autobahn wheels and i suggest some thin independant risers because i think they add a little to your pop and cushion for landing...just personal preference...get them specially if your new

Gasoline is a great lubricant, but it works best if you soak them for 1-2 hours about every other week. If you don't do this every other week, it won't mess your bearings up, but you'll find that they'll start to get slower and slower.

ok heres some bearing cleaning info.
DO NOT USE WD40!!! this product contains surfactans which decreace the lubricity of the bearings. in other words it removes all teh dirt and stuff but then does something to the metal so that lube wont stick anymore so your bearings will be running dry all the time and that is BAD BAD BAD. if you spin your wheel and hear any noise from the bearing it needs cleaning. it should be completely silent. Yes gasolene and paint thinner both work for bearing cleaning agents HOWEVER you must then rinse you bearings out in isopropyl alcohol (preferable 70% alcohol or more) and then wait for the bearings to completely dry before lubing up. after you lube them up (speed cream is a pretty good lube found at almost all skate shops) put the shields back and and roll away. dont ride through water or really dusty areas or anything like that. remember that if you spin your bearings by hand that spin tiem means next to nothing about the speed of your bearings. some of the fastest bearings ive ridden have only spun for 10 seconds freely.
