Here's a few more from the archives. The first three are pics I took of Steve Alba (Salba) in '78 skating the 15' bowl at the Pipeline Skatepark. Ya , I said 15' deep. This bowl was killer to skate and he shredded it. He's like 14 or 15 years old in these pics. The last one is me riding the halfpipe in my backyard in '78 in Eugene Oregon. My roommate at that time shot great photos, he placed the sun right at my fingertips in this one. Peace Y'all.

sweentess man, thats cool that you gotta see alva in person back when he was the shiz. im just wonderin do you want to see that Lords of Dogtown video? I thought it looked good, but the previews made it seem like Alva was an ass.

I did get to skate with Tony Alva back in those days and recently as well, but that is "Steve Alba". Another legendary pool skater still ripping today. These days known as "Salba". Oh and to answer your question I already saw Lords of Dogtown at a premier screening and it's pretty cool but I still like Dogtown/ZBoys better. It's the real thing.
