so I got a trampoline,
anyone whos used one knows that once uve been bouncing on one for a while ur body adjusts and becomes used to going high when you jump
so when i get off a go on my board it feels really weird and its harder to get height
so hears my question

is it a ggod idea to use it regualrly as it will build up my leg muscles
or is i a bad idea as it puzzles my mind?

It just seems that you can't jump as high. Since you can jump big on trampoline, it seems you jump smaller on regular ground. It's normal.

Well... You're just jumping over and over, so it builds leg muscles... Good thing in the long run, methinks.

If I ever opened a trampoline store, I don't think I'd call it Trampo-Land, because you might think it was a store for tramps, which is not the impression we are trying to convey with our store. On the other hand, we would not prohibit tramps from browsing, or testing the trampolines, unless a tramp's gyrations seemed to be getting out of control. -Jack Handey

trampolines are jst for fun. i dont really see how it could have an affect on your skating unless you hurt yourself on it. i had to take mine down because the home insurance place said they would cancel it if we didnt.

On my trampoline, after you jump on it long enough [took me a couple months] you will get used to the jmping to ground adjustment, you won't have to feel weird. My tramp is going to get re-setup [stupid winter] in a week or something, and it will be very weird for the first bit, but it will build up your leg muscles and make you ollie higher. To practice quickly adjusting from the gravity feeling, jump as high as you can for a few minutes, then stand on the ground and jump as high as you can for a few minutes.

If you want to ollie higher and strenghten ur legs u can just train. Easiest way is a heavy medicine ball in ur hands and jump as high as u can. It improved my vertical jump which is 60cm which has helped heaps for skating

I almost killed myself on a trampoline just this past weekend. Me and a friend were just messin around, actin like we were 10 again, bouncin on the thing. Anyways, I kept gaining huge amounts of height. Well, I bounced and was headed towards the edge and you can't stop in mid air. I flew off, one leg caught on the edge of the trampoline and bam! face plant right on the ground...I sat there and laughed for about 5 minutes.

Trying to skate after using a trampoline is no different than trying to skate flatground after riding a miniramp for 30 minutes straight. Your legs adjust after a couple minutes, so don't worry about it.

is it a ggod idea to use it regualrly as it will build up my leg muscles?

Answer: YES!

It's probably lactic acid that is doing you the funny feeling in your legs.
Read more here: http://www.google.com/search?q=trampoline+%22lactic+acid%22&btnG=Hae&lr=

What lactic acid does to your muscle cells, it grows them in size. It doesn't necessarily add strength accordingly but you will get big muscles. Of course, the power will also increase but just not according to your muscle size.

It's anaerobic excersize and it should raise your anaerobic and lactic treshold. In other words it all does good for you. The more regularly you do it, the better the result.

i have an old deck (no trucks) that i use on the trampoline. it is so fun, doing 720 flips and tripple heels. you and dao indy front flips and everything. if you got a tramp you should try it. and yes, keep trampolineing, i think thats what made my vertical get so high (31 inches, or so the school says) yes, i know, i have some sik ups. i have had one since i was 5

Trampolines rule. Jump from one foot to the other side to side and front to back to build up your balance. It really works. YAY

flips are sooo easy! BUt then i have been training on a trampoline for like ever. When your in gymanastics, they really help. As for doing flips....just get up enough bounce and have at it. i mean you are going to land on your head once or twice...but you'll learn.

Festibu Amidaq

curl up, this has something to do with inertia(is that how you spell it?) the smaller the object is the faster it spins...take a pin for example you can spin it really fast if you hold it as if you were to snap it in half...but you can't spin it as fast if you hold it by the cap the throw it, sure it spins pretty fast...but not as fast as the other way. Once you get good at them, go try it in a grassy field, I swear after a few tries you'll be able to do it anywhere.

ive got the jist of the curl, however i cant find my footing again i can only seem to land on my back as i cant tell when ive come all the way over

make sure you spin fast and straighten out at the PEAK of your jump...remember lots of height and you will be fine...

I used to have a trampoline....me and myfriends always jumpoed on it but I had this one friend, he's pretty big, and those of you that have jumped on a trampoline with more than 1 person on it you know what im talking about.

Anyways he launched me in the air, he did it plenty of times, but this time the timing was PERFECT and I got at least 8 feet into the air and I got scared as shit. Never getting on one again though.

Yeah, 360 got it...you need more height or speed, and uncurl after you feel that your head is a safe distance from the ground.

we use tramps for practicing rotations & flips on mountain boards. we just remove the trucks & bounce away. its great for "spacial awareness" (dodgy spelling) otherwise knows as knowing where the hell you are in relation to the ground.

However it is a different ball game when you are traveling at speed & trying a big rotation or flip
