the closest ive ever come to landing one of these was primo, on carpet. some say they are easier nollie. ive got a feeling slightly turning your body bs with the pop and flick will help, then its just a matter of turning back and stomping straight down. some people do this kinda thing with tre's. ill have to try it myself some time.

is this a Varial Heelflip?

They feel really awkward and I definitely don't like doing them. I don't really care if they are the hot trick at the moment. The way you have to twist your hips and not your shoulders feels so ugly looking to me.

I don't know why they aren't called varial heelflips, because that is really what they are. It's a backside shove-it with a heelflip. I used to call "varial heelflips" frontside shove-it heelflips until I saw they were being misnomered in magazines, so I just went with the flow.

I have been working on these and i almost have them down. Iv been doing diffent tricks with them like with fs bodyvarials, they look cool but i dont know what it is.

I hang my foot far off the board and kick down but up and i pop like a tre flip but not as hard.

i thought since a varial k-flip was where the board does a b/s shuvit and a k-flip, a varial heel was a f/s shuvit and heel. but, saying that, your way seems more plausible. just thought i'd say that

a varial heel is a fs shuvit heelflip, an inward heel a bs shuvit heelflip.

After you get them down (the varial heels), try them switch. They're easier to learn switch once you have the basic concept down.

It's a way easy trick to land premo on and wipeout! Almost broke my knee cap trying to do this one
