I can't do full backside 180 on flat. I can do it off a ledge every 3rd try but can't every get much past 90 degrees on flat. Is it because im not ollieing high enought?? help

What does that mean i have tried like twisting my body but i always stop spinning right after 90 degrees. But on a ledge it works.

Try to ollie so you are transferring all your weight onto the nose, then sweep your back foot around. Practice ollieing into a little nose manual and pivoting around. It might be a little awkward but you'll get them down.

winding up is basically turning your shoulders all the way to where there tucked into your body and when you spin you "unwind" or basically let your shoulders come untucked into there regular position with FORCE so that your body and board spin i can do a F/S 180 without ollieing very high at all so yeah but i can do them with heighth as well so keep trying on the B/S by tucking your shoulders and as you go to ollie pop HARD, drag your foot up and untuck your shoulders starting your spin and then land and ride away clean. Let me know if this helps.

yo i cant b/s 180 on flat to good either. but i can do it off any size ledge. i think its because i ollie then turn, but on flat i dont have enough time to do it. but i dunno

i just started trying my b/s 180s and im getting pretty good at it what i do is i try to do like a b/s pop shove it but keeping my feet like maybe only an inch or two above it so i can stop it when it completes the 180 and what not then landing it but i havent been able to yet i came close but my front foot didnt follow. My Varial K/Flip i landed on my first try after landing 3 kickflips in a row I was freaking stoked I dont know how the hell I did it but I did, then again I studied the video of it like for half an hour then went and did it miraceously.

I have tried that. But the board always flips in mid air when i steer with my front foot. Im a hopeless case :-11:

You don't really steer with your front foot. Ollie at a 45 degree angle and have your weight set like you are going to do a nose manual, then sweep your back foot around.
It really takes little effort. The biggest problem I had learning these was I was trying way too hard and not thinking how would be the easiest way to complete the 180.

IF to do than i will land crooked. Or if i land strait it will only be a what ever 180-45 degrees spin.

i dont know. when i learned them my problem was not being able to commit and stay on the board. i owuld land it then the board rould roll out under my feet. oh, and when you land make sure you arent leaning TOO far forwards. break your wrists that way.

No I can stay on my board the problem is that i can't spin fast enough or enough. balance is not my problem.

try this... When you're rolling forward kinda slow until u get comfortable. Put your front foot on the board like you would for an ollie. Back foot should have ur toes slightly haning off the board. Just keep your head up and look behind you as you ollie. and make sure not to lean forward too much when you land or else you'll slip forward.

http://www.skateboarding.com/skate/tricktips Check that video thing out. Jeremy Wray pretty much sums it up in this thing. The heelflip one is superb as well for anyone struggling with heelflips.

you have to push foward with your front foot to do a 90, then push the last 90 with your back foot...
