Is there any cheap alternative to a fisheye lens? I can't really afford one (no job, £4 a week pockey money). Thanks for help guys.

Buy a Kenko .43x fisheye. Very cheap; it's what used when I filmed, and it only cost me like $40 American.

Is there any particluar size for different cameras or are they universal fit?
My camera has this writen near the lens -
f=5.5-66m f=1.8-43mm

has it got a 'O' with a / through it then a number becuase thats its thread size. I'm offloading a fisheye if your interested.

I was thinking, if I put a convex or concave lens (like the ones you use in science lessons) over the camera, would it work like a fisheye lens?

in the kenko it has a concave/convexed piece of optics in it. and if its concaved way its gonna be distorted. if not its gonna be a wideangle. i dont think i explained it right tho.
