question about disco flips....

im confused about them cuz one of my friends thinks that a disco flip is a sex change but instead of kickflip you do a heelflip so heelflip-sexchange but im thinking that its a varial heelflip body varial. Im confused so can someone clear that up for me?

no i can do disco flips im goofy footed and you do a bodyvarial to the backside while the board just does a regular heelflip and dosn't spin with you.

I have never heard of a "disco flip" so I cant really say, but if you do a varial kickflip and turn with the board it would be a backside kickflip.

I would like to see a hardflip body varial, I reckon that would be pretty tough to pull. I'm not much into varial tricks though, never really tried to learn em.

i made a move in T.H.U.G. 2 called the Full Cab Hardflip. its a hardflip with a 360 b/s body varial

Geez, these days there are too many weird trick combinations. I have heard of the Twisted Flip which someone mentioned in this thread but a Disco Flip!!! I think I will stick go calling that a Heelflip Body Varial.

Isn't a sex change when you change the stance during a trick? So like, a Varial Kickflip Sex Change would be the board going b/s and me spining 180 f/s, am I right?

Sex change is just a different way of describing a body varial. Yes, that would be a varial flip sex change. Around here we call them Rainbow flips

ok lets clear a few things up....

body varial - your body jumps 180 and the board stays the way it is

sex change - you kickflip, and just your body turns 180

disco flip - you heelflip, and just your body turns 180

twisted flips - a varial kickflip and you do a body varial the other way

The only reason I asked about body varials is because I had only heard one termanology for it, which was sex change, just like "tre" flips, I always heard them called 360 Flips.
