Welcome to RR!
First of all, try to find the smallest quater available so you can get used to the feeling- dont start on something huge cos there's a lot more chance your gonna hurt yourself!
Put the tail of the coping and put your back foot on your tail, you may find it easier to put your foot 'flat footed' on at first (your whole foot square on the board).
Then put your leading foot on the front bolts(or anywere around this area that feels comfortable), lean into the ramp and put pressure down on this front truck(slam real hard :P).
As the truck hits the transition of the ramp, keep the pressure on the front foot(or you'll fall back) and be sure to bend your legs.
As you hit the floor straighten up and be pleased with yourself.
Remember to keep your weight balanced over the center of the board! Good luck!

Heh, it's not hard at all. The trick is, to keep your weight over the board.. NEVER lean into the front like you think you're supposed to. Just lean your weight a bit forward, but keep it directly over the board.. not the front truck. Just drop into the quarter, and roll away. Once you try it a few times, you get the hang of it.
Remember.. weight over the board, not the front.

The biggest thing about dropping in is not hesitating. If you hestitate with it at all you're gonna get wrecked up pretty badly. If it helps, look at the quarterpipe from the side and you'll realize how shallow it is. That should help you get over any fears. Just think of it as dropping in on a slightly curved bank. Once you get the hang of dropping in on the shallower small stuff, move on to the bigger ones.

and once your front truck hits the q-pipe just pretend your riding normaly, keep weight over center of board like you do when your riding.

Put your tail on the edge, feet on the board and sort of push off and lean back. Dont worry about the rest, it will all flow smooth.
Not really, push down hard. Lean forward, stay lose and ride it out.

if there are other smaller transitions at your park just put your board on them and drop into them, it will build confidence. Also some people say it helps if you grap your nose and then drop it.
