Everybody, i just started landing my first heelflips, finally.... took me a few months of practice. But, the things which helped me MOST with my heelflips were:
Keeping my back straight
Making sure to lift my back foot way up
Practice, practice, practice. get used to it.
AND most of all, the thing I think that helped the most, and what I think is what stops a lot of people from landing heelflips:
Don't be afraid to land on the board. Keep trying, and you'll eventually get it.
I was landing on the edge of the board 50% of the time and falling on my back, on the concrete, and I think that's what scared me from trying to land on the board. But just keep trying and you'll get it. Now i have to practice until I land every heelflip perfectly.
