View Full Version : Cutting your ply wood.

What kind of saw should i use to shape the plywood on the side that has a curve. Its my first ramp, so i need help with my quaterpipe.

On pieces that are curved, use a jigsaw. If its a long straight part, such as the base, use a circular saw. AND BE CAREFUL WITH POWER TOOLS!!!:-2

yea, use a skillsaw, or jigsaw for curved parts of the wood

BY THIN LIKE 1/8 INCH PLY WOOD TO BEND WITH THEE CURVES ON THE PIPE AND USE 3/4 INCH FER BASE USE A DRILKLL CUZ NAILS WILL POP OUT AND RIP YOUR ASS APART

u should use a jig saw.. i've build 2 half pipes and 11 quater pipes for me and/or my friends..

you could use a saws all but you gotta be careful its easy to mess up with it

yea what they said use 1/4 inch for ramps w/ bends and 3/4 for straight aways. never use particle board cuz u'll get splinters in ass. jigsaw for round cuts and circular saw for straight cuts. use 2x4's or 2x6's for framing. if u need anymore info let me know i build my own custom ramps plus my dad's a carpenter
