So, I got an Element.

First of I wanna say that I'm brand new to skateboarding.

My friend gave me his Element Fiberlight 2 Board With P.O.S. trucks and some Wal-Mart bearings and the wheels are all skated out so I don't even know what brand they are. But anyway, what I was really trying to say is I got the ollie down. Im still working on ollieing in motion, and wanted to hear what you guys think. I'll also take advice on anything that will make me better. I'm very open minded to any suggestions. Thanks in advance.

Element are for sure the best US company, stick with them (apart from their griptape, it's shit...)..
By the way, don't learn things on the spot, always learn things moving, just learn how to go faster with time...

I use an element fiberlight, i thought it was good untill i skated a baker. WOW element suck, this baker deck had so much more concave! I ollied on it without any effort at all. So now im unhappy caus ive just brought my elemnt for £65 :( Oh well untill i snap it...

some better bearings would help ya maybe some RED's those are very good for the price i used to have an element fiberlight i could ollie really high on it but the nose and tail wore down so fast i wouldnt really recommend it

My past 4 boards have all been blanks...get those 5 deck or 10 deck deals from E-bay. Get the neons because the wood grain ones come with shitty griptape.

i myself found a mixture better than a single deck. if I were you i'd buy the deck from one company (southstar have a shitty name and a crap logo, but the decks last YONKS!!!! I had one. It was my best deck ive had. Im getting another southstar next deck) and then get some decent trucks from somewhere (i don't know if you have destructo trucks over there, or tensors, but both those are excellent so get them if you can) and get some decent wheels. I have element wheels on my deck, and they are brilliant, so id get some element wheels. also dont go for abec 9s
id say abec 5 or 7 are best. get some decent griptape. Hey presto. An excellent board. Im not lying that southstar and the destructos, along with abec 7s and element wheels lasted me for 4 months, and most of that was learning stairsets. sorry that this post was so boring and long :)

What the hell makes you think Zero's are for Goths? First off a graphic is a graphic, Bam has a Goth board but does that mean Element is Goth...no. Take a good look at Zero's boards next time and im sure there are not that many "goth" graphics. Just because some of Zero's boards have bloody skulls or its classic skull doesn't make them goth. Oh yea did i mention Goths were during Mideaval times?
