hey have any of you had encounters with pros just showing up in town and skating with you it happend 1 time dc chapman baltimore maryland pro just showed up when i was skating down the street he asked where the local skate shop was and i showed him and got a free board and beanie and a new freind it was cool...

In the element video theres a part in philly where one of the team riders does a tailslide on a little quarter pipe made out of cement near a sidewalk, in the background is a road and it says independence hall and ben franklin bridge. Thats in philly I skate near there all the time. It looks hard to skate it though, you gotta get some decent speed and ollie onto a curb and you have like 4 feet to set up for the trick before you hit the ramp.


Anyways, I saw some guys skating there, and they had a camera and he did a tailslide on it, so I think that might've been whoever it was on the video.

I skated with Grant Patterson while he still lived in Brampton, before he left for California. My sister dated him, and he still skates at Iceland (a skatepark near Brampton), and Brampton City Hall whenever he's in town.
When he still lived here, and was only sponsored, he'd leave free decks out on his lawn for people to take. It was pretty cool.

I've skated with PJ Ladd, Ryan Gallant, Paul Rodriguez, Brandon Biebel, Richard Angelides, Kyle Leeper, Omar Salazar, Stefan Janoski, Corey Duffel, Mako Urabe, Spanky, Rob Welsh, John Cardiel, and I think that's about it. They're always in Sacramento, mainly because of Stefan and Biebel.

I skate with Jimmy Boyce on a regular basis, he's the guy from the start of Geoff Rowley's section on the volcom video.

I live in the middle of nowhere, so if I ever got to see one here it would be cause he/she was on shrooms or X and got lost. But I might be going to California sometime so my luck may change.
