Soft :-26: or Stiff :-25: ? Who likes soft boards/who likes stiff boards? What are the advantages/disadvantages of each? Why do you like it soft/stiff? I really wanna know...because I don't (beginner). Thanks.

soft boards suck. less pop, weaker, blah blah blah. why would you want one? thats how boards get if you skate them for a year and leave them in the rain all the time, like most beginner kids.

Erm...I think everyone likes stiff. But old boards do get that squishy feeling that makes you fall in love.

Stiff for sure.

Don't you just love getting a new crisp deck, and how it pops so nice?

Stiff .

My OLD board got kinda soggy and made squishy noises when I stepped on it . Not that I left it in the rain , or anything . I'm not stupid .

[QUOTE=DirkZooDiggler] ...Why do you like it soft/stiff?...QUOTE]

Ask that to a girl...

I like stiff and crisp board, but when you have an old board that will bend alot when you land a nice trick on it, it just feels so cool.

My current board feels like cardboard :(

And everyone wants a stiff deck.

soft deck = waterlogged.

I prefer my decks not rotting in the middle.

I don't mean like "old deck left dropped in a pool (or toilet)" soft.....but certain boards are really soft from the start when compared to other boards, but some people still prefer them....I thought that maybe some people found an advantage in softer boards and that is why they liked them...maybe not though...thanks

stiff, I ordered a blank form blankdecks.com and its pretty soft, when I put my foot on the nose/tail I can feel it bend and I'm only 125 lbs, kinda annoying but only $17 so I can live with it :D

I like it when the board flexes, but not when its waterlogged.

Why would you want a soft board it would feel so... soft? A soft one probably wouldnt have any pop either you gotta go with stiff.

What I really meant was a board that flexes compared to a board that is stiff and does not flex.

I've only skated a zero flex board once and it wasn't bad...the next week I went and bought a zero complete (non-flex).
