What are your opinions on shop decks? A local shop here, Nocturnal sells there own decks, and I wanted to know if shop decks are much worse than pro decks. I want to save the 15-20 bucks, but I don't want a crappy deck, becuase that takes the fun out of skating.
Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

Unless your shop makes the decks there not shop decks but my shop orders like 10 blanks at a time from blankdecks.com just ask em where they get them and ask what kind of wood etc.

The answer to your question is...It depends. Luckily your local is Nocturnal, so just go up and ask the Owner Tim Quinn. He'll give you a straight answer.
Peace.

it depends on what wood your shop uses.
ours uses stuff like shuvit wood, which is incredibly bad. i think they get them for like 9$ a piece, and they have graphics. dwindle decks are over twice that much, and we all know that they suck.
but the GOOD shop in town is getting more shop boards soon, and pat (the owner/my friend) is rad, so he actually gets good stuff. he doesnt really know what company makes the boards, but theyre guaranteed 100% good canadian maple. they get sent to china for pressing, but thats it. thats what most boards do, except for tum yeto and (i think??) maybe deluxe.

Nope, NOTE is in Manchester. But it's liek a 25 min tram ride away. So it's about as local as it gets. There is a shop that sells 'Proper' skateboarding equipment in Bury called 'Leisurelakes' But dont even bother. It's near Iceland, if you're stupid. It's really a bike shop. They've probably got rid of there skate stock now.

I love Native decks, good to see your rocking one. I go through decks quite quick so i don't notice that the pop ges away.
