I'm just curious...Is a trick not technically classified as a trick, unless you are moving? A couple of the more advanced tricks I know, I can't land while moving yet...only stationary.

good question, some people seem to think that skating is all about rolling, doing railstands and ect could be done just as well on a wood block. But I still think that skateboarding is skateboardign no matter if its moving or stationary or hovering in the sky (which is what'll happen in the future, trust me)

I think that a trick is a trick if you landed while moving or not but since its harder to do a trick while moving you get more respect when doing moving or down staris etc......

Yeah, it's still considered a trick, but it makes you look way better if it's done moving, and tons of tricks are easier moving...i.e, tres, inward heels, varials kickflips, varial heelflips...

When I play skate with friends we make a rule that a trick don't count unless your rolling...but that's just us.

Yeah...I generally don't tell anybody I'm able to do a certain trick until I am able to do it while rolling.
