I find it quite difficult to gain speed when in the stance leading up to an old school trick. You're not meant to get too much speed but I can't get any. How do I keep going at a reasonable speed in the 10 second lead up to an old school trick. I can do it, but it just won't work for me right now, ever since I started vert skating. Help... PLEASE!!!

Sorry bro, but I seem to have the same problem...every time I try to get into primo my back foot touches the ground. I hope someone posts a helpful comment so I could learn how too.

When I get into Primo slides I don't use the way you use to get into railstand. I do a 3/4 of a heelflip and catch the trucks, just do it really low. At least I find it easier to get into them that way.

No, railstand is freestyle not tech.

I think he's talking vert. Pump down the trannie on the opposite wall, make sure your feet are set up across the flat bottom and pump hard up the trannie towards the lip. I use the phrase "Punch the Lip" with whatever trick your trying. Repeat the process coming down after the trick. You should have and be able to keep plenty of speed. Once you get it down start doing back to back tricks. Good Luck.

^Agreed You also might want to try learning to roll in. Its kind of like where you go parralel to the coping and kind of do an ollie in. Watch bikers drop in to alf pipes its just like that except on a skateboard. I see to get more speed doing that.

That's a bomb drop, i can't do them on proper size things, my mate can do it into the deep in the bowl which has a foot of vert, it's insane.
