Making Your own Skate Deck

Hey I probably shuoldnt put this is the ramp section but i dont know where else to put it and i thought if people know bout making ramps and stuff then they could help me with this. I started making me own deck. i have the shape the holes for the trucks and i was wondering if someone can tell me how to bend the kicks and ge them to stay there.

Soak the deck, put a clamp on the end of the nose or tail and bend the wood, do the same with the other side.

Well dont think id be posting this if i just wanted to say i made my own deck. of cource i know there are cheap decks out there. im making one its a bit of a different shape. and all i want to know is how to bend the kicks.

You'd be surprised mandog. i saw your 1 post and saw that you wanted to make your own skateboard and figured you were a 10 year old newbie who's mom didnt wanna spend the money on a deck and i no clue as to what went into a skateboard, i was just trying to explain that it wasnt really logical. but you seem like you know what youre talking about so have at it.

You can also buy blank planks, already concaved with nose and kicktail. Big square planks so you can cut your own shapes.

hmmmmmmmmm idk why dont you just go to www.ccs.com and get a blank deck for like 25 bucks then you can customise it with sticker n stuff.

Alright of you really want to make your own you are going to have to make a press or get a vaccuum bad kit. Vaccuum bag kit would be cheaper and easier then making your own press.

well i guess the kids got a lot of time on his hand and wants to pursue in making his own board. thats cool and all but make sure you know all the hard work and money youll have to put into it to make it.

im pretty sure ive seen some square ply with the nose, tail and concave allready bent so you can just cut it out the shape u want and stuff.
dunno how you'd bend it like u want to do tho...

I tried to make one once but I gave up and snapped the tail. It sucked anyway bc the tail snapped so easy.
