hey man ok i got a sharp digital camera sharp is the name of it well anyways when i plug in the usb and look at videos it only lets me look at pictures and no videos i need help on editing please

Well you have a capture problem it seems. When capturing video I recommend firewire only, but you can use usb...just doesn't look as sharp..lol Firewire ports are pretty ez to install and will get you off the usb...which is always a good thing. I'm not familar with sharp digital cameras - did the camera come with a installation disc? You might want to look into a video capture card like dazzle, but I would just go to the firewire...it really is the best way. Also is your USB 2.0 or 1.1? 1.1; forgetaboutit god awful. If its 2.0 you shouldn't have a problem loading it onto an editor like Vegas 4 or 5, Premire...etc. Would also think about getting a mini dv cam. You can get a TRV-22 1ccd cheap as shit, and does the basic job. If you need instructions on how to install a firewireport just pm me and i will send instructions...it really is pretty simple.

oh i got dazzle digital video creator and stuff but when we load it. it only lets u watch the video no editing and stuff but yeah it confuses me i dunno nuttin bout editing just how to use the camera and take video lol wev been tryin to figure it out and my installaliton disc got broke while skateing and um we installed dazzle but nuttin so far bro.

wow i've been so bored, i think i'm gonna go through all the links do all the tuts, so if anyone ever needs help on any of them pm me ill help you out.
edit:i can only help on final cut, afx, combustion. for now, once i buy a pc ill be able to help on premiere and avid also. and photoshop on both os.
