I want to make a video. I have a camera, i have a firewire. I just dont know what software to use to edit it. I want it to look as professional as possible. Does anyone have any suggestions for me???

I heard that Vegas is good for editing and that Premiere was better for effects and things. I just use good ol' MovieMaker. Dont flame me I KNOW NOTHING!!!

adobe premier is good but is hard to figure out at first, like crazy dave i just use movie maker

I wouldn't bother with movie maker. Vegas is a decent mid to high end editor and is very user friendly. Give it a go.

At the moment me and my mates are working on our first video. we are just using the latest version of movie maker and it does the job.

It comes with all editions of ME and XP. It's really not a great option, the compression is terrible and there's such a lack of options.
Use Premiere, you can do anything with it....

well... you COULD get a student discount on final cut pro HD and the price COULD end up at around $300-$400 us dollars... thats how i got it...
