get some new bearings so you can roll good. or get some new trucks keep the wheels and get some new bearings. Quickies only cost like 10 bucks and they are really good.

UmmDarkstar...that makes no sense. He said wheels or trucks.

Get some trucks, new wheels don;t make much a difference.

But if you are talking about bearings than get those becuase they are a big factor in skating.

what kind of trucks do you have.

It depends what kind of trucks you have right now. If your bearings roll alright I'd get trucks unless you have those cheap wheels that are hard plastic outside and have a rubber core type thing.

im just thinking that the "heavy trucks" issue is from the point of view of some little kid who thinks a board has to weigh half a pound. the only way id say "ok, yeah, those are more on the heavy side" is if they were indys, stage 8 or earlier, or destroyers which havent been made for years.

keep skating that(you will live) and work your ass off whenever you can..get enough money for everything then just buy it...if you cant do that get new wheels (spitfire) and new bearings (reds)...

abec 7 is the rating for the fastest bearing. The higher the abec the more expensive it is and in most cases it shows how fast the bearing is. Id go with the fastest one you can find.

I would say truck. they make the most differnce to me. the wheels will last a little longe.

i always thought the ABEC rating was how precisely they are made, eg. ABEC 1, thrown together by hand, and ABEC 9,made with laser precision and perfectly symmetrical.

abec is precision, not speed.

its like.. how perfectly theyre made. the smoothness/roundness of the balls, how they fit together, etc.

Your wrong man...ABEC ratings mean nothing when you put bearings in a skateboard. Get the cheapest bearings you can find. I would tell you about why but you probably wouldnt understand it. The bottom line is don't listen to the abec ratings. They are usually false and mean NOTHING unless the bearing is spinning with no lateral force....then basically its the max rpm not speed...Also it doesnt necessarily mean precision. Bones reds are not rated because bones is smart and knows that the ratings mean nothing. They are designed to handle more lateral force then normal bearings.

And Spenser...they ARE good and I know at least 20 skaters of different disciples that can back me up. Just because you had a bad experience doesn't mean that they suck. There is somethign called quality control and some bearings are made with mistakes.

ABEC means nothing! what do you not understand? The element ones probably suck. Sure they will work, but just like any other average chinese bearing that was made for 15 cents.

hey buy trucks and use an old pair of wheels, as for the bearings buy car bearing grease ($5-$6) and you will never need new bearings unless the balls fall out

So so true! I put Lithium grease in mine 2 1/2 years ago, havent needed any since. I completly forgot about that. :-11:
