You're probably gonna want to try some boards out and see what you think. We can't really tell what you'll want etc, but for fast bearings Bones Swiss.

Venture and Thunder trucks are good, Alien workshop, Habitat, Popwar, Real, Rasa Libre, Anti-Hero, and Toy machine are good decks that I've experienced. Stay away from Blind, World Industries, Darkstar and Almost decks. They suck.
As for bearings just ask the guy at the shop or Tensor Abec 5 bearings are pretty good, Bones Reds are good if you want dollar value. Bones swiss are probably the best ones you can but a bit on the pricey side at 40 somethin bucks.
Since you're smaller you'll want a 7.5 or smaller. Just ask tell the shop guy what youre looking for, and how much you wanna spend.

Bones Swiss are cheapy for us people in the UK, order them from US, $40 is like £25, most Abec 7 bearings over here are £20, Bones Swiss are about £50 or something stupid, nice and cheap. Especially if you're ordering alot of stuff at the same time :-41:
The trucks turning has to do with how loose your kingpin is from my experience, not rucks really turn better than others. But maybe they do, maybe I'm stupid :-5:

Good turning trucks depend on how tight you tighten your bushings, how much space you have before wheel bite (Use a riser) and your bushings. (soft medium hard.)

My friend is 13, and he's like 5'1". He skates a regular sized board..
My reccomendation:
Deck: Northern Athletic (If you can find it)
Trucks: Grind King or Royals
Wheels: spitfire or ricta
Bearings: Zero Black Widow Abec 5's (They're cheap but FAST when combined with Reds)
Hardware: Shortys (I've had problems with other hardware just like bending on me.)

The bushing design on Thunders give them a better turning radius than any other truck. This provided a problem because no other bushing fits a Thunder truck once the bushing is worn.

I don't know if it matters or not.
Euhm. With the bearings this is what I did with mine.
I got a set of Reds, and a set of Zero Black Widow Abec 5's. I put a Zero in one side, and a Red on the other. So I have 4 bearings left over from each set. They go sooo fast.
Example:
| Red Bearing | Wheel | zero bearing |

deck:red 7.5" minilogo
trucks:7.75" thunder
bearings:Zero/Bones Red(Noxi Style)
wheels:darkstar dual duro 52mm
does this sound good?
once again...does it make a difference that the trucks are wider then the deck?

it does if you are doing railstands and stuff

That won't hurt you too much because it's within a quarter of an inch of the board, so to answer your question it wont hurt as long as you trucks are within 1/4 of an inch of the board side. Hope I made sense.

depends on how much you are willing to spend. for your height i would recomend a smaller deck like 7.5. bones are probably the best bearing for their price.
