Probably an Element Featherlight.

Probably a piece of balsa wood. Weight means nothing, you know. It's just a gimmick. Compare apples to apples and you will see that the difference in weight between boards is marginal. It's called placebo. The only thing that really causes a noticeable weight difference between one piece of 7 ply canadian maple and another is the size.

the rule tends to be the lighter the board, the weaker. i mean, sure, some boards suckt that are on the "heavier side," but just in general. i mean, a tum yeto board is going to be heavier than a dwindle board generally in the same size, because dwindles wood is crappy and weak because theres nothing really to it.

the weight differences are just like 3 ounces anyways and a lighter board isnt necessarily going to help you.

mine would be heavy to you guys, but i skate perfectly fine on it and im not a big guy.

Yeah, a weight difference that slight won't help you ollie noticably higher. The ollie is in you, man. How hard you pop the tail and your timing and dragging of your front foot.

Might as well get a slightly heavier board, like a Toy Machine or Rasa Libre.

after riding a 40" in the park all day everything feels crazy light.
If you want really light get a 5 play deck with the top and bottom layers carbon fiber. This would be a custom job though. I could probably get a board like that for $150

One of my mate that i skate with used to live over in south africa. every year he goes back out their to visit his family. last year when he was out there he picked up a fiberglass deck. the make is PHSYCO. it is the normall deck shape and about 7.5 but becasue it is fiberglass it is so light. my ollies are about half a foot higher on it. it has great pop to. the only downfall is that the fiberglass splinters and when it gets in your skin it hurts like hell.

If you get some titanium trucks they are mass light and you will notice a difference right away. My friend has a graphite board and titanium trucks, and my board is about twice at heavy as his. Although i notice no difference in skating.

There really isn't a noticable difference in weight based on brand, size will change the weight thought. If the deck is said to be lighter you will feel that there is a difference. But it is all in your head, You brain believes it is lighter causing you to think its lighter. Kinda confusing but pretty simple.

The trucks and wheels make way more of a difference than how much the deck weighs.

rustyburrito55

nah. You dont do the whole thing carbon fiber only the bottom ply. you could probly get a sheet for $50-$100. Some longboard companies do this but most use fiberglass.
