I haven't progressed in 3 months, and I practice every day for a long while. I lose every trick that I once had, and have to relearn them every day. Heelflips are even gone!! I land one good flip trick at the end of the day if I'm lucky now, and I was once consistant with decent kickflips and heelflips and everything I had learned. I want to keep what tricks I have, but noooo. I can't even land a pop shuvit now. I know that if I quit I'll be depressed all day, but this is really making me mad. Does that ever happen to you guys?

Not really, well when I first learned Heelflips they kinda went away but I have them on lock now. Almost everything I can do, I can go weeks without skating and then come back and do the same stuff. :(. Just remember where to put your feet I guess and always commit. Maybe that will help alittle.

I lose tricks all the time... It used to really get to me, but it's just one of those things.

You're right. I really need to not get so worked up about it.

Yea it happens to all of us. Last summer I was on the verge of consistent kickflips when I randomly lost the ability to flip them. They're back, though. I think stuff like this even happens to the pros sometimes.

you might not have been doing them right in the first place maybe??? But i am sure if you stick with it you will progress and i am sure you are progressing without landing anything.

Practice the stuff you already know...when you start landing them again, work on variations of them. Like say you land a Pop-shuvit but don't have your kickflips back, try a twisted shuvit (Pop shuvit with body varial...Hint for the landing: Focus your weight on your back foot. Left leg for Goofy, right for Regular.) If you've got your kickflips and your pop shuvits on lock go on to varial kickflips. For heelflips just ollie in heelflip stance to get the flip back...just mess around like that and you'll get 'em back. Them main thing you need is free time. Skate Time.

I was just at basketball camp for a week and tried skating tonight and I couldn't land jack. I'm going to Cooks Park tomarrow so hopefully I get back into the "Skate Mode"

Some times if you over skate your body just become worn down and it happens. if i skate like every day for quite a while after about 10 days i cant land anything. i just take like a 2 day break.

Another piece of advice for learning your tricks is once you land say a kickflip or get very close to landing it stop and have about a 10 min break. you can just stop skating or practice another rick. This way how you done that trick and how you had to move your feet will sink into your brain and next time you will have them down even better. keep doing this untill you have the trick masters.
What happens if you dont is you will start to get worn down and then you wont land the trick. if you keep going and keep bailing the trick then your brain will remeber how you are moving your feet ect to do that but it will be remebering it wrongly so every time you do the trick it will be wrong.

never over practice!

ive lost bs boards. well, not really because its not that i cant do them. but if its a rail, its like my mind wont let me. but i think thats because i just dont like rails. not like "rails are stupid, skate manual pads and be brandon beibel." its just that i really dont like to skate them.

anyway.. yeah.
