See if local shops will donate skate gear for a raffle... They should be in favor of supporting the local skate scene.

Have a local skate shop throw a party, get local bands to donate their time and charge like a $5 donation. Raffle as already suggested. Kidnap the Mayors kid and hold him for ransom or a skatepark.

Get all the skaters where you live to do little crap like help Mrs. Baker water her garden in the morning. And picking up trash and little humiltiating things like that.

my city is trying to get a park we had a skate competition and we all had to pay like £2.50 and we had fun at the same time on a big huge temporary park.
