while were on the subject is there anyway to downscale a picture so it can fit on as my avatar.

if you have a picture editing software you can change the pictures attributes and change the pixel area to 100x100 or less. or you can just use the 'paint' program and use the "stretch/skew" tool under the 'image' button on the toolbar. thats all i know

you're right it does mess up the picture, but if its a pretty simple image, you can zoom in and fill in the pixels. thats what i'll do sometimes. but i'll agree with you it does get annoying.
