new to skate parks

hey its me the fat kid who skates i was just wondering if anybody was scared to go to a scate park like i am the kids down there dont exatly seem nice and i dont want to get my a$$ kicked for being a ***** if the is any. just wandering what i should do. if i should go with a friend and face it like a man and go by myself.

and just to let you know how crazy they are they run around naked down there and the smoke a crap load i just dont want to be like a pussy down there or anything the help is aprecated

OK here's what you do. Go there, skate around, if you see people trying the same tricks over and over again give them a clap or tap the board on the ground every time they come close. Most likely they will appreciate the respect you are giving them for trying so hard, and they should reciprocate the favor towards you. Just be sure they aren't getting angry or anything or you might get snapped at.

I dunno, I'm OK at skating and I try to be friendly with everyone. You should be able to find people who are friendly, too. Just be social and don't be intimidated. It's just a talent for riding a piece of wood with wheels on it.

Not to get too involved but it's funny how people are saying how friendly skaters are then a flame fest breaks out.

Anyways, go to the park and skate. If people give you a hard time sorry but that's life; People will always be that way. And as far as your starting out as being the fat kid that skates.... don't worry skate more you won't be fat anymore. I'm 26 lazy as hell and a beer gut to prove it! Now I'm learning to skate again and working with my kids to skate. I'll loose the gut again. BTW I used to be the fat kid skating too. It's rough at first but you'll get respect for your skate skills. Skating isn't a beauty contest like some think.
