i fell id tell you what i wish i had done when i started skating. DONT choses to skate regular or goofy. skate both. pick a dominant way but learn how to do tricks swich and regular. also if you are learning how to ollie get or build a real low FLAT rail (even a waked 2x4 works for boardslides) that you can learn you boardslides on. also find a stair and practice nose stalls on it. this will make you better at ollieng. if you do it this way yo will be able to baordslide nose stall (wich is the first step to learning to nose slide) and you will be able to ollie

Yup mad man is right, I've been playing around with switch and it makes my boarding much better. I can switch pop shuvit, kickflip, varial kickflip when I'm lucky and ollie pretty damn high.
Also practise fakie and nollie tricks ;)

u skate mongo thats cool i think mongo is easier. i mean you have more controll over your board and i probrably skate mongo because it is almost like running or riding a bike that way because your legs cross and i have been bmxing longer than sk8n
