Hey all, I just joined these forums so I'm new to everything and all and I was looking through the ramp building section, so I thought I'd post my mini. I built it about 3 months ago and it costs around $700 altogether. I thought I'd spice it up a bit, so couple days ago I painted the emerica logo onto the middle section there. Here she is:

Nothing too special but just a friendly little post to introduce myself.

Neither would I, it was suppose to be around $500 but after I had like half of it built I realized it was going to be more expensive, so I wasn't going to have a half built mine sitting there, so I decided to finish the thing.

I got the plans for free of the internet, if you really want them IM me at JiggJB. I didn't use skatelite, it's just sanded plywood, you don't need skatelite, it's a waste of money. Plywood alone is going to be spendy but it's fine for a mini pipe surface.

Take a bunch of cynder blocks and make two stacks the length of your peice of wood. Get the wood at least a foot off the ground. take a hose and lay it in the middle and let it run soaking the whole peice of wood. Put some cynder blocks in the middle of the plywood and let it sit there keeping it pretty wet. Once its touching the ground let it dry with the weight on it. When you take it off you should have a controlled warped peice of plywood. It wont be perfect but it shouldnt snap when you drill it on the frame of your ramp.

I dont know if anyone has better ideas but thats how i made my quarter pipe. Worked pretty good. No cracks or anything.

Seeing that your ramp already had heavy wear and is breaking apart after 3 months, skatelite is worth the price no questions asked. Even though you'd be set back another $600-$1000 for just the surface of your ramp. :(

make 2 layers of plywood. the first layer use 3/8 inch plywood which bends easily at the grain. than put a layer of 1/4 inch over that. takes away the time of waiting and plusyou dont have to waterlog your wood
