thinking of getting an arbor long board. i just want to cruise around town (mainly nyc) and carve hills in central park. appreciate recommendations for complete set-up. what are the best wheels, trucks, and bearings? what are the advantages and disadvantages to the different long boards?
thanks.

On my longboard I'm riding Indy 215's for trucks, big tall Rat Bones for wheels and of course Rocket bearings. Tracks hills great or cruises the boardwalk casually. My board is a 48" Summer Soulstik. Very cool board. It's a pintail shaped like a big gun surfboard shaped for huge waves. I love it!!!

thanks skaterat! what you think of an arbor pin 46 " board with exkate torsion trucks, g2 abec 7 bearings, and g2 65mm wheels set up?
i can get this as a package from gearguys. would this do me up for cruising and carving hills?
thanks.

The Arbor Pin is an awesome board. I've heard they ride great and they look really nice with the finish work on them. The Exkate Trucks and G2 gear will work real nice for hills or just cruising. A package deal would be the way to go. Happy Bombing Bro.
P.S It's cool to see another 40something skater on the site. The people here are all great and real skate enthusiasts. Welcome to Ramrage!

I was riding the Exkates about 3 days ago. Really nice trucks.
