schralping with my 9

i was at the shop again today, and theres this board thats been there forever.. its a 9 inch pool board by monster skateboards..

its black with the graphic in the background of the site, and it says monster skateboards.. green on black. its sweet.

anyway, it was obvious that no one was going to buy it, so i was like.. hey.. then i told pat i wanted to buy it and i got it for 25$. its so gnarly and its a beast.

i set it up and then skated outside a little.. its got pop and stuff, but its still kind of weird. but i can kickflip on it fine, and it actually spins fast, not slow at all, like youd think. and its rad for shove its because its a boat and it makes them really fun.

ps - i normally ride 8.125 to 8.25 so its not a HUGE difference.


i bought it for fun.. im not a pool skater or anything like that. but im going to shred at the park tomorrow and do some old school stuff.

OH YEAH, and pat wanted to make some old school design on the grip. he cut out this cartoonish looking skull and crossbones.. theres also some lines on it because we used two sheets of grip on it and left little spaces between them because it would look fun.

i also carved SCHRALP above the skull.. and rounded the corners where the different sections of grip meet so they look like those stars that are like the shiny specks of light that have 4 corners..

its RIDICULOUSLY awesome.

its really just for fun.. thats why i put schralp on it.. trying to make it as old school as possible. not making fun OF it, but making fun with it.. its so rad.

i want to do some slasher grindy stuff. and ill definitely do those things where you go up a quarter, put your hands down, and spin around. i love doing those. especially when you actually hit the coping on it..

ill go for a 540 slidey grindy thing.
