you should try visiting my "click here if ya cant nollie/switch ollie" thread. it can help you learn to ollie too. just stay in your normal stance instead of switch.

this is not detailed but it works every time (almost)

all u have to do is pop the board like a manual but stand on the tail so that the back truck pops of the ground do that a few times then try and jump with the board but remember to pop it.:D

Hmmm... Ollies.. Ok,
(1) Bend your knees
(2) Pop down the tail of the board.
(3) Right when the tail hits the ground start to extend and jump.
(4) As your going up straighten your board with your feet.
(5) Bend your knees as you land.

This is all you really need to know for an ollie.
It takes practice, so dont give up!

Step

1. Place your back foot on the tail.
2. Place your front foot in the middle of your board.
3. Bend down and keep your weight centered in the middle of your board (to keep your balance).
4. Push down hard with your back foot (keep it on the tail whilst you do it).
5. When your nose of your board starts to rise at it's highest point drag your front foot up the griptape using the side of your foot. Make it reach the nose of your board at the same time with your back foot make it come up of the tail so the board will level out.
6. Land with your knees bent and ride away!

It does take alot of practise at first but think when u can ollie think how further you cud get then. You cud get onto rails, ollie over obstacles and practise your flip inc. kickflips, heelflips,

yeah...If you just worked on ollie's all the time, and NEVER any trick, you'd rock. You could alone with that, nail gaps, ollie over stuff, do grabs, rails, spins, flips etc. The ollie is the basis of every imagineable trick, so no matter how high you get them - Don't stop practicing them.

u have 2 know where the power of the ollie comes from

u bend the knees to get power stored

u snap the taiul to the ground to actualy go up like when u hit the pencil on a table

sliding the foot is to level the board out or ull go strait up to a sack tap not fun

then u land on the bolts so u dont snap the board
