ok...contact me on MSN or AIM if you can...its a little detailed but i'll try to help you out...
when you export your timeline the best compression that i know of it quicktime.
use the sorenson 3 compressor for video
use a frame rate between 15 fps and 23 fps.
change the resolution if you want to export it for the web, generally 240x180 is used, but you can go higher or lower as you choose.
if you wanna get really good compression, use the 'limit data rate' and limit it to about 50 to 65 kps.
for audio, use Qdesign compressor and around 22000 herts(sp?)

Yup punkrock is right you need to work on your compression settings, different settings will bring your video size down a lot.
You can also try a DivX Codec which really brings the file size down but keeps super high quality, to learn more about DivX visit their site at www.divx.com
