Hey guys,
I'm pretty sure I'm going to get this setup, but wanted some last minute advice on it. I'm thinking about getting this:

Powell Steve Saiz "Feathers" Kicknose II 9.75 x 30.00

Kryptonics CSI 63mm 85a (not sure on color)
http://oldschoolskates.com/detail.aspx?ID=791

Bones Swiss bearings

I'm not sure on the trucks yet, and I'm also getting some other accesories like rails, risers, grip tape, etc.

I do mostly half pipe, bowls, banks, lots of sliding, and also some carving. You guys think that would be a good setup for that? I have never ridden this board so if any of you know how good the shape of the deck is or how doo it is your advice would be great.
Thanks

Thats going to be a nice setup. At 9.75 wide I would use Tracker 184s or Indy 215s.

Those wheels are kind of soft of ramp/bowl riding, but are nice cruiser wheels. Im not much of a slider so I dont know how they would hold up sliding.

Thanks. I thought those wheels would be good because they aren't too hard and aren't too soft. I have pretty soft wheels now that I can slide. you think those would be too soft though?

They will be very grippy thats for sure. Myself I like a harder wheel in bowls and on ramps, but thats me. It really depends on your style and how comfortable you are. I am more of a "going as fast as I can, flowing and carving around, , little shifty slides, hitting the lip and grinding as fast as I can". If you are more of a slasher type skater you will want a grippier wheel so you can hold on.

I know guys that have gone from a fairly soft wheel to a harder wheel and they say they feel a bit out of control at first, but once they get used to them they like them better.

If you are going to be riding mostly mini ramps, smaller bowls you should be fine, but once you move onto bigger terrain, you may want a harder wheel to help maintain speed and require less effort to gain speed.

Those wheels should be a good start, you can always upgrade them if you want more speed.

All Kryptos I have ridden slide pretty easily. They WILL be sluggish in bowls though. they probably wont be the best for long slides and stuff too...I slide 98a wheels for trick sliding which is what you want to do i'm guessing. I personally would get Tracker 184s. The Indys would be pretty wide on this deck.

That board is awesome and the Tracker 184's would be about the right width. Those wheels would be great for ditches, reseviours, rough banks or the sidewalk. I'd get a harder wheel for bowls, pipes, and parks. I ride 64mm 97a Cowboy Punk Black Plagues, an awesome all around wheel.

Ya I'm gonna go with the Krypto CSI Wheels. I'm going to be riding a lot of ditches and stuff like that so skaterat you're totally right. Also one last question I have is that this board is made in two models the spoon nose and the kick nose. I want to get the kick nose, but I'm worried that the kick nose will be ridiculously large like a trick deck. What do you guys think?
