Ok, I am not just gonna sit here and let you guys drag Blink down...
Sure they have a strange urge to play songs about dogs but i have grown up listning to them and they have had an influence in my life... think about your teenage lives, think about girls, sex, think about drinking underage, think about drugs and other youth culture... now think about Blink 182, what are they singing about??? TEENAGE LIFE (mostly)
I will not defend the last album, it was an insult, it was a nasty way to end, sure it sold loads, but it attracted the Emo crowd, Miss You being the song people die to 2005...even this album had some good songs 'Go', 'Violence' and even 'Feeling This'...
Think about their career, their earlier albums... Cheshire Cat/Buddha;
Good Songs: Touchdown Boy, M&M's, 21 Days and Carousel...
Then came Dude Ranch, i mean this was in my opinion, their peak performance... Excellent songs and playabilty;
Good Songs: Dammit, Untitled, Voyeur and Dick Lips...
Scott Raynor left due to alcoholism and the band found Travis, even if you insult Blink, Tom and Mark, you CAN NOT insult Travis, he is an excellent drummer...
Travis's first album was Enema of the State, this in a way was a turning point for the band... The song i will remmeber this band for is All the Small Things, it is one of the songs kids love...
Good SOngs: All the Small Things, Whats my Age Again, Wendy Clear, Mutt and Anthem
Ok well, theres the MArk Tom and Travis Show, but im not saying anything, its completely brilliant... especailly Carousel and Dammit...
Well next came 'Take off Your Pants and Jacket' (GET IT :D), this album sold the most copies out of all their albums... and in theory it should, it appeals to everyone... Teenage angst guys - First Date, Emo's - Reckeless Abandon and more... travis was technically drumming to power chords for 2 years before this was released...
Good songs: Anthem 2, Rock Show, Reckless Abandon, First Date and basically every track except Happy Holidays (didnt like it)
AND FINALLY theres Blink 182 - Blink 182... sucked for the main part but as i said earlier... a couple of good songs...
Now loking back though older threads, Snaker, you were a HUGE fan, so was Jay and Craig... infact 1999-2002, you ALL were, how can you completely ditch your tastes...
IM JUST STICKING UP FOR A DECENT BAND...unlike Green Day who do suck...lol
