Well, I'm curious in finding out what my board size is. I figured that 8 inches was around what a board is according to it's width. I measured my current board which feels best for me and it came out to be 7 3/4 inches.
Would that make my preferred board size 7.75? o.o Or is there another way to determine it?

Well size does't really matter and your measureing couldn't have been that acurate because of the concave deck differ by only quarters of inches so it doesn't make the differance. I would say that the deck that was 7.75 had a better feel to it rather than the 8

the way you figure out what size your board is... is by measuring it. theres small differences between say, 7.5 and 7.625 (1/8 inch) so you need to be pretty precise in order to get the actual width.
i usually measure in the middle, at the front bolts, and the back bolts. sometimes boards get a little skinnier towards the ends.. not a whole lot and not really noticable, but sometimes.
i also dont include the concave.. i just measure straight across.. i dont bend the measuring thing down into the board.. because when youre above it, you see straight down.. so i measure it that way.
