Ever made a "sponsor me" video?

Did it work?

Tell us if it got you sponsored or not, and most importantly(if you can) throw us a link to it.

Don't try to say you've never made one, come on...

Does anyone remember my buddy that I talked about right before I fell into some inactivity? Well he's getting hooked up with ATM blanks and putting this summer's footage into a montage to try to get BBT to sponsor him. I'll post some of him in the gallery...

I thought about putting together a sponsor me tape when I was a kid, but I got a job instead so its all good.

Like I needed some stupid skate company telling me what to do just so I can get a free deck. Skating for sponsorship to me is retarded. Skate because its fun, not because you want to have some goofy status symbol. To me its not worth the free swag to be at the beckoned call of whoever sponsors me. I see what these sponsored kids need to do to keep their sponsorship and its just not worth it.

What do you need to do to stay sponsored? I've never been sponsored, so I don't know yet.

Usually you have to be available for all demos, go to contests, wear their swag 24/7 etc. It can be pretty hectic after a while. It becomes more a job than its worth.

I suppose it is cool to tell the other skaters that you are sponosored, but I never really wanted to get inolved in all that. I just enjoyed skating.

I'm speaking from experience on the other side, your best bet to get sponsored is to somehow show the company that you actually BUY and use thier gear and love it so much you wouldn't wanna ride for anyone else. There are 10,000,000 people trying to get free shit...
