well im new to skateboarding and i can ollie and pretty much shuvit. so i go to my local skate park to learn some grinds. but the as*holes there just give me the worst time of my life. dissing me. when you guys were new how did u conquer these idiots?

I myself confront them about it. Saying smething like " Hey waht the **** is ur problem im just trying to learn asshole" Most of the peopel i have said this too happen to be good skate friends now.

I didn't have any idiots to bother me. The only person who skated was yeah, much better than me, but he was cool and not the kind of person to act like that.

I guess you should just wear some earmuffs or not listen to them.

i havent had that prob yet, im bigger though but even back b4 i restarted sk8ing i skated with people waaayyyy better then me but all they did was try to help me out, tell me how to land it or what i was doing wrong. just tells those guys to f off. and use that bs to fuel ur fire for skating so thatu land that trick so they are like oh shit did he just do that!

Hate to say it, but that's the human race for you. Most importantly, that's the attitude of about half the skaters that make up the sport's population.

The best thing to do is ignore them like you do with the kids at school then they will notice that there lame insults are not bothering you andthey will stop.Getting mad at them and getting teary eyed will give them more ammo to shoot at you.

Well, I've always had this image that people who skate are nice laid back people...Obviously these guys are big dicks to you for some reason or the other. Try not to make conflict unless you got friends backing you up and just ignore it for a while. Then who knows you might be friends that's how it's like with a lot of the friends I have now.

ehhh.... people wouldn't bother me if i was in public because i have a license for concealed weponary, and a lot of people know i do... but if i was skating.... differnet sroy... the kids would probably scream "OLD MAN, YOU SUCK!" behind a wall or fence... but thats about it.

p.s.... im not saying that even though i have a lincense i would pull out a gun and threaten them, my town is full of hicks- and if you get what i just said you probably are one too;)

Yea i rekon it depends on if ur skatin wit some1 or not like if uv got a couple of mates around no one normally bothers you and some of the shit u get as a leaner is stuff u bring on urself like getin in som1s way wen there in the middle of a sick run if ya do that the hole park will rip u out!!! jst keep at it if u do sum huge bails and then jst get strait back up again that gets u sum respect 2...... :-6:
