Before i start i haven’t actually made one my self yet but am in the process of making one. What I have done at the moment works but I not 100 percent sure it will work when fully made so don’t moan if it doesn’t. its just an idea in the making.
Anyway. This should only cost about £20 + to make.
First you need to pick up a torch of some kind (Can be picked up from any DIY store for about £15 for a decent one). The bigger and powerful the better. Then get a large shallow bowl (can be picked up almost anywhere for a couple of £’s) and some tin foil. Line the inside of the bowl with tin foil covering the whole surface area and try to get it as smooth as possible (for the best effect cut the foil into the correct shape and stick in).
Now test it. Hold up the bowl in a dark room and shine the torch into the centre of the bowl. The light should be reflected around the bowl and the back into the room covering a wider area. it wont be much brighter but will cover a far wider area lighting the room a lot more. Now this is where I have got to and it has worked well for me and if done correctly should work for you.
The next stage is to build a stand of some sort in which the dish will be held in the air and the torch held shining at the dish and can be assembled and reassembled quickly for easy transport. At the moment I am trying to build one with little success but when I managed to make one I tell you how.
I hope this helps a few of you and as I said before it is and idea in the making so don’t moan if it doesn’t work.
