Heya
I started skating about a month ago, I baught an el cheapo board because if I din't like it then It woudent be a great loss, and if I did decide to take it up Id buy a better board.
Now, Ive been practising my ollie with my board, then used a friendfs and I realised how heavymine was and thus a lot harder to get off the ground.I was able to ollie a fair bit higher with my friends board, it was also a lot easyer to control.
His board is narrower and lighter.
Im going to buy a new board and Im wondering what deck, trucks, wheels, risers and hardware to go for, its got to be light and easy to control, but still a normal length deck.
My previous board was a complete, since I dint really know much, I baught it to get going.
Money available is about £80 - £90
Cheers :)

You cant buy much with 80-90 dollars but i got mine with about $115. I've got a minilogo with lucky risers zero hardware, kreeper trucks, spitfire wheels and speeddemon bearings. It has lasted me about a year and a half and i skate it kinda hard so good luck getting the board!!

I recommend just changing the trucks as they tend to be the heaviest part. Get some venture they are light

Deck: Popwar or Alien Workshop
Trucks: Thunder/Venture
Wheels: Bones Street Tech Formula
Bearings: Bones Swiss
Hardware: Any
Griptape: Jessup
This is the best possible board setup ever, in my opinion. It's expensive but definetly worth it. If you're a beginner, riding it is like building a sandcastle with a bulldozer.

for the deck part, write down the decks they listed and go to a local sk8 shop and stand on the boards, see which one you "feel" better on whichever you feel most comfortable on get that setup, and as you are new i dont think deck choice atm would make a great difference but all the things listed would work fine
