I'd say practice doing manuals maybe to build up your balance. and remember to work on rolling ollies as much as still ollies.

Never... learn how to do a trick in grass also cause when you get on the cement, street, what ever... there will be nothing to stop you from moving so like practice your tricks rolling instead of still as much as you can... trust me i know that from experince cause i learned how to heelflip in grass and it took me a while to do it in my sidewalk also it took me a while to learn how to kickflip whille rolling... so it would be better if you practives rolling instead of still.. it is hard but less work... if you like wanna pratice your tricks still go for it...

Ollies, Shuvits, 180's frontside and backside, pop shuvits. Then try some kickflips, boardslides, 50-50s, heeflips etc.

Just a general idea of where to start, hope it helps :-41:

how do you do a manual without
1) hitting a car
2) bailing
3) hitting a stone on the road?

ya i jst figgered that out when i started to skate and practice my ollie moving and the wheeles at the nose went to the right and the wheeles at the tail went to the left and i went to the ground

also i just found out that my ollie coulde be improved if i was trying it on a ramp so i know some1 who's dad is a demo man and he can get me all the plywood, wood studs and sheet metal i will ever need

P.S. on the ramp plans section how do you support the underside of the sloping bit of the halfpipe which is 16' wide, 27.6' long and 9' high but the vert wall is 30.5 CM and how do i attach a rectangular steel tube to a bit ow wood for a grinding frame?

u should try it moving but in the grass(or on cement), instead of slamming your foot down with the board, push the board down without your foot, just through the board down with your foot, when u hear the snap of the board on the ground, slide your front foot up and jump as high as u can.if that doesn't work 4 u, than i guess i'm special.

I think you should definately do pop shovits next. i learned them before ollies, its a pretty simple trick.

you will most probably go higher on concrete 'cause you have more pop on something solid

skaterdawg

dont practice your tricks on grass or carpet or anything like that just do them on cement trust me it sucks having to learn tricks two times

I agree but with pop shuv-its, its easier to do them moving and like hullo said its better to learn on cement
