Hello chaps, I thought I would ask about popping out... of boardslides. This is something i can't seem to really get. I mean, if its a low rail or ledge or something, I kind of do a sort of nose pivot out over the object. But on anything taller than say, mid-shin height, I can't do this or pop out. Any tip's for lil' ole me?

Get enough speed to slide the obstacle to the end.

Yes, but theres some things that you can't slide off of. Like if it run's right into a wall, or there is no landing room, or if you just feel like being cool and adding steez with a pop out. This is my problem. Lot's of stuff like that 'round these part's.

Just push on the tail so the front trucks come off what you're grinding.

that is not what he is talking about. thats a boardslide. he's talking about boardslide pop-outs. when you don't slide off the end of the obstactle, instead you pop-out in the middle of it. you can't just push down on the tail to do these, you have to sort of push it towards the nose and then push and turn on the tail.

in the "bullet and a target" montage here http://fightskateboards.blogspot.com/ josh does a fs board pop-out. check that out and try to do like he does. i don't have any on video but i'll see if i can get one on tape next time i'm at a ledge you can do them on.

they're kinda tricky and you just gotta practice them and get used to it. don't try to slide too long at first, try to just get in and pop out quickly. then work on sliding longer. you may want to try them fs first because i actually think they're alittle easier.
