How do you wax a curb that's never been waxed? Last time I tried using good hard wax and it worked okay but didn't last long. This time I think I'm going to try coating it with cheap wax first.

its hard to start on a normal curb. but if its a painted one, like red or yellow curbs, its easier.

what i would do, if it wasnt painted, would be file it a good amount to smooth it out just a little more, and then wax the hell out of it, go fast and keep your weight back on a 5050, or a 5-0 because theyre easier to power through stuff since your momentum is more pushing the board rather than going with it above the board.

Just get a torch...put wax on the ledge...and melt it.It doesnt take that long at all

Just apply hella amount of wax, then grind it, then add some more wax and grind some more. Just keep adding more until it turns the curb a darker shade. If you do it in summer it will melt and it makes it that much better.

Drop your pants, spread your butt cheeks and scoot back and forth across the curb or ledge.

the torch thing works, or if u have an extra pot u can heat up the wax in there and pour it over the curb, ive done that before. also i took a note from snowboarding and ironed the wax onto the curb in front of my house and my manual pad slides so awesome on both

A friend told me this quite a while ago. Start off with waxing the curb, then use like the tail of an old deck to smooth it out or something, and repeat it like 5 times or so. I think it should work.

just because its hard wax doesn't mean its good and just because its soft doesn't mean its bad. ledge butt'a is a hard wax. jacked is a soft wax. i like them both. jacked is better for starting new ledges because its soft and puts alot on in a short period of time. by the way, jacked is the wax that is shaped/smells like chocolate.
